Given that Apple's new iPhone Xs and Xs Max don't have a physical Home button, you will need to use the Side button instead. Here's how it works.

  • Open the screen, app, interface or screen you want to capture.
  • Set up everything according to how you want it to look like for the shot.
  • If everything is ready, press and hold the Side button on the right side of your iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max.
  • While pressing on the Side button, press the Volume Up button.

You will then see the screen flashing white and the camera shutter will sound. Just make sure your iPhone is not mute, otherwise, enable sound on your iPhone Xs or iPhone Xs Max.
